LGBTQIA+ in STEM Advocacy and Visibility Efforts
From 2023 to 2025, I was a founding member and 'Core Team' organizer for the 'Out on the 'Berg' LGBTQIA+ network for researchers on the Telegrafenberg Science Park campus. We hosted monthly networking lunch groups for researchers and students, as well as pop-up events during pride month. My largest contribution was helping to organize Pride on the Hill in 2024. During the event I led a panel discussion with four LGBTQIA+ researchers working at institutes on the Telegrafenberg for the 50+ event attendees.
I am also a member of the The International Society of Nonbinary Scientists, and currently participate in a biogeochemistry mentor group that has monthly meetups. If you're interested in joining, please don't hesistate to reach out!
Linked here is my bio on 500 Queer Scientists.

Outreach beyond writing
- In 2022 I was elected to serve on the PhD student governance board for the Alfred Wegener Institute: the 'DokTeam' . In this role, I helped with the behind-the-scenes of numerous outreach and community building opportunities.Â
- I've helped my friend and peer, Dr. Luc Illien, as a volunteer film production assistant (prop creation, positioning sound booms, troubleshooting logistics), and onscreen extra for short films he wrote and directed. The largest project I was a part of was a short film named DAWN, a climate dystopia.Â
